In July 2022, China Carbon Neutral (01372.HK) announced that in accordance with the latest business development, the Group formally established the “ASEAN Strategic Committee of China Carbon Neutral Development Group” (“ ASEAN Strategic Committee ”), and appointed a person with extensive influence in the ASEAN region as the chairman, to fully implement the layout and development of the Group in the ASEAN region, And then expand business in Asia. At the same time, in order to implement ASEAN strategy and develop related business, Singapore Carbon Neutral Company and Singapore Carbon Asset Management Company were established. The Group observed that ASEAN, as one of the regions most at risk from the impact of climate change, has made  green low-carbon transition a priority in its strategy of development. The ASEAN Economic Community Blueprint 2025 emphasizes the importance of sustainable economic development, and the ASEAN Classification Scheme Committee has issued the ASEAN Sustainable Finance Classification Scheme as a general guide for ASEAN member countries, enabling them to be orderly transformed into the sustainable economies that contribute to the global and regional climate goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.  ASEAN's favorable policy, monitoring environment and huge market offer unique business opportunities and great potential for the Group to expand its carbon neutral business. The establishment of the ASEAN Strategic Committee is a significant step in the international and balanced strategy of the Group's carbon neutral business, which will strongly facilitate the Group to enter into the ASEAN market and capture the opportunities that ASEAN responds to climate change, thus further strengthening the Group's leading position in the relevant fields and generating good financial returns.
